Color and texture
The color and texture of the stone are determined by the circumstances under which the tree is petrified. Every memorial stone is therefore unique. Pieces that have been in a river for millions of years are usually smoother on the outside because they have been polished by the water. Rough pieces often come out of the clay.
Strong as granite
You can choose an exclusive piece from our collection that best fits the deceased. A polished stone from the water, or rather a rougher piece. You can also perfectly combine the headstone or urn with glass, bronze or stainless steel. Corten steel, with its rust color, fits particularly well with petrified wood.
Petrified wood is a very suitable type of stone for tombstones or urns. In terms of hardness, it is comparable to granite (7 on the Mohs scale). Thanks to our work on the stones, the pieces of petrified wood are well protected against various weather influences.
Every natural stone runs a small risk that it can break after freezing. This also applies to petrified wood. Fortunately that has never happened to us. Nevertheless, we offer the guarantee that the customer may select a new stone in the unlikely event that the brick breaks due to weather conditions. Also see our general terms and conditions.
In order to minimize the risk of breakage, we let a thin epoxy glue run into the small cracks with an injection needle where necessary. We ensure that this is practically invisible. We also coat the stone with a Nano coating. With this modern technology, the stone is largely sealed off from water. The chance of unintended influences of rain and low temperatures is therefore very small.
