If you are looking for an unique desk, it is certainly worth having a look at our collection petrified wooden table tops. You will not find them soon anywhere else.

Beside our beautiful wooden table tops, we have various exclusive tables mode of petrified wood in stock. These tables most of the times consist of tiles, which, if preferred, can be separated by brass strips. The tiles can vary in size from 10 x 5 cm up to 50 x 100 cm. The petrified wooden tables can be up to 350 x 120 cm and weight up to 400 kg. The weight of the petrified wood makes it important to have a strong steel frame. We have various models to choose from. The U-shaped steel legs are a strong and modern looking choice.

Customization

It is possible to order the tables by size. Delivery time can vary from 2 up to 6 months, depending on when our next container from Indonesia departs. Petrified wood a natural product, sizes and colours may vary.

Petrified wood

The natural formed material the table tops are made of is fossilized wood. It formed in the Miocene era in Indonesia. Petrified wood is on average 20 million years old. The dipterocarpus tree got covered by a layer of ash from a volcano 20 million years ago. The minerals from that ash ended up in the wood via the groundwater and replaced the wood cells.

Maintanance

Polished petrified wood is best maintained by stone wax. Of course we already finished the table with stone wax for you, but when your table doesn’t shine as much as it used to, or you start getting rings from glasses of wine or coffee, you can easily finish the table with wax again. We’d love to show you how to do it. We also have stone wax and the required rockwool for a fair price.

Epoxy

Some tables consist only of petrified wood, but we also have mosaic tables where the pieces of petrified wood are joined together with epoxy. The tables can be round of rectangular.
