Xyleia Natural Interiors support the orphanage Lestari Sayang Anak in Jakarta, Indonesia. Lestari Sayang Anak roughly translated means: "Forever loving children."
The orphanage was founded in 2009 by Dutch former teacher Ingrid van der Mark, a highly respected former colleague of Xyleia director JJ Lems.
Lestari Sayang Anak is a small-scale project, in which the available budget is spent wisely. Ingrid regularly writes interesting reports and newsletters to keep her sponsors informed of the course of events.
The orphanage does not have religious backgrounds, but is purely founded from the idealistic desire to give less fortunate children a chance at a happy life.
There are ten orphans and children living in the shelter, who have been abandoned by their parents.
Ingrid ensures that the children are cared for not only physically, but she finds it particularly important that the children get lots of loving attention. This stands in stark contrast to the large and overcrowded orphanages in Jakarta, where orphans perhaps have enough to eat, but where they also are often left to their fate.
If the financial situation allows her, Ingrid will open a new house in the future, where up to ten other children will be given the chance of a good life as well.
We sincerely hope that more companies will follow our example. As an individual you can also contribute. Even small contributions are greatly appreciated.
